Another Granite Flat camping/mountain evening adventure is in the books. We had a fabulous time around the campfire with all of us - hot dogs and watermelon, s’mores extravaganza, stick lighting and fire poking, mini Cornhole, laughing, chatting, and getting a photo with all of us. Sigh.
I love some relaxing mountain time. We listened to birds and Rylie called my bird app - Shazam for birds.
Mason
and Rachael stayed over with D and me in the trailer and we played some
Hearts with the heater on because it was a cold night.
Saturday
D and I went on a trek to Silver Lake from our campground. Took my
spikes this time and we made it to the lake easy peasy. Well not totally
easy peasy since we still hiked 10 miles with up but the snow crossings
were no problem. This place was so pretty! The lake still had some ice
and snow and the backdrop of granite mountains with waterfalls, green,
and snow was breathtaking.
After our adventure
we ate at Chubby’s which tasted so good. Chubby’s always tastes good
but after a 10 mile hike it’s even better.
Rylie had bridal pictures and Cam was a big help.
