3 night camping weekend turned into a 1 night D and Ang camping with the girls painting Cam’s room and going to a movie. The weather wasn’t cooperating for camping. Rain is doable but rain, cold, and snow is too much for me. But we did get a good hike in on the White Pine Trail. We got 2 miles up before we decided to turn around because we were tired of walking in snow. We hiked in clouds and some rain which I loved.

Top Gun 2 was so good!!! Love love loved it. D and Ry enjoyed it too. Then home for the season finale of our Survival season we’ve been watching. Or as Darren calls it - “Butts Island”

Kansas City trip in the books. Good times for Taylor’s wedding. D, Mason, Rachael and I spent 4 good days in Missouri and Kansas. The Kansas City temple is so pretty. We saw some church history sites and visited Cole’s house. I loved all the green and the winding country roads. We had some good bbq at The Smokehouse in Kansas City and then some fabulous bbq where as Ben said, “They sweat in your food” - at A Little BBQ Joint in Independence. 

Funny part of the trip was when we were staying in Liberty that first night and we figured out that Taylor and Kendra were staying in the hotel across the parking lot from us. They came to our Libby and we chatted and laughed.

Ran in a Ragnar trail race. Last minute desperate invitation from a random neighbor. It wasn’t quite my thing as there were way too many people and we were camped on top of each other. But the running part was challenging and rewarding and I enjoyed being out on the trails. 3 loops to run - two 4 mile runs and a 7.3 mile run. I chuckle as they call it “Zion Ragnar”. Very little Zion seeing involved.

Weekend exploring with some Buckskin Gulch and East Zion. Buckskin is just the coolest gulch. We started hiking at 2:30 which was good timing since it seemed everyone was coming out at that time. Met a kid at our turn around spot about 4.5 miles in who must have needed company since he hiked back with us the whole way. Big horn sheep near Checkerboard Mesa in Zion were cool and we watched them for awhile. Hiked the Many Pools hike where a couple we saw didn’t quite understand that “pools” meant potholes filled with water. I think they were disappointed. Dropped D off in St George for work and I headed home for a great overnight getaway to Kanab.
