December 30, 2015

Every time I visit Canyonlands - Island in the Sky - I think I need to come back and explore more.  Today's exploration included Mesa Arch, Aztec Butte (the granaries are cooler than the structure), and Whale Rock (great kid hike even though the kids chose to stay in the warm car for that one.)  I liked watching Mason and Tanner throw snowballs.

December 29, 2015

Awesome, awesome hike to Tower Arch in Arches National Park.  Beautiful and there were bunnies, plus we were the only ones the arch - which was huge.  I guess if it takes cold to not have crowds, I'll take cold.  26 degree day.

December 28, 2015

I love when I get to visit National Parks.  Especially thos with red rock.  Quick walk down Park Avenue was cold but awesome with some ice skating.

Condo (awesome condo) hanging with some Apples to Apples and watching Ant Man was vacation time well spent.

December 26, 2015

Lots of fun with K and T today.  A windy cold snowshoe up by Suncrest and some close racquetball games.  Fun, I know.  I like when they come play.

December 25, 2015

Merry Christmas!  I'm now the old lady that all she wants for Cmas is for her family to be together.  Totally got that this year.  Fun, I know.

December 24, 2015

Fam bam snowshe was a success.  Despite lot of kid reluctance, we made it to Granite Flat.  Sadie totally got snowshoer of the day award.  She rocked and totally loved it.  I don't know how she wasn't freezing because every ten steps or so she would purposefully fall in the powder.  SIMP - Snow In My Pants.

December 23, 2015

Fun hot chocolate/game night with the Kings.  And the cutest homemade nativity set from Kelly.  Such a good friend.

December 20, 2015

President Nelson had such a good Cmas BYU Speech from December 2002.  "Brothers and sisters, I plead with you to rise above the tasks of the day and the hurdles ahead.  You can do more than the deeds scheduled in your daily planners.  You can take the name of the Lord upon you and become more like Him.  You can rise to your great potential.  You can prepare for the future with greater spiritual capacity.

At Christmas, of course, we focus upon His birth.  But, He will come again.  At His First Coming Jesus came almost in secret.  Only a few mortals know of His birth.  At His Second Coming the whole of humankind will know of His return.  Then He will come, not as "a man traveling on the earth," but His glory "shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together."

December 19, 2015

Star Wars was BEAWESOME! 5 out of 5 starts.  I totally loved it.  So fun to see "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" roll across the screen.  And Han Solo and the Millenium Falcon - just so cool.

December 18, 2015

Free 4th row BYU basketball tickets from the Rollins was a very merry Christmas present to me!  D, Cam, and I enjoyed a BYU win with Zac Seljaas scoring 25 point on 7-9 from 3 point land.  It was fun to watch.  Go Aggies.  :)

December 17, 2015

Our new "big kid" and mom thing to watch is "The Flash" on Netflix.

December 16, 2015

Amazing first snowshoe of the season!  So much powder and a great group to go with.  We went up by Suncrest and it was such a winter wonderland.  The snow grove we found where you could wonder and there was snow covering all the branches is a place I will always remember.

December 15, 2015

I've had to find a new crew to watch The Voice with since Kenz moved on.  Luckily Cam is available.  She keeps me straight on everyone's names.

Also, we made up a new game called couch soccer.  You have to hit the bottom of the couch with a little nerf soccer ball.  Fun, I know.

Also, Mason was being so awesome with Sadie and I wanted a picture and they didn't want a picture so I told them if they let me snap a photo I would do their dishes.  They took me up on the offer.  Good trade.

Monday, December 14, 2015

December 14, 2015

Sadie has given us the gift of The First Noel and Jingle Bells on the piano three of four times a day this Cmas season.  :)  One of my favorite things about this December has been playing The First Noel as a duet with her.  Fun, I know.

December 13, 2015

One of the best nights of the year!  Elf night with caramel (and homemade) popcorn.  Wahoo!  "Buddy the elf, what's your favorite color?"

December 12, 2015

Brother Wardrop sand such an amazing "O Holy Night" at the ward Christmas party.  Had me in tears.  I had been missing a little Christmas Spirit and that song brought just what I needed.

December 11, 2015

Cam is in such a fun and cute stage right now.  Time to freeze time.

December 9, 2015

Fabulous Cmas concert by Sadie.  It was fun seeing her soccer team be singers.  I could have done without Sadie almost passing out at the end but that happens.  I think Sadie really likes singing.

Tuesday, December 8, 2015

December 8, 2015

Tuesday night at 7 is a fabulous time to go to The Museum of Natural Curiosity.  There were very few people and we had an hour to play before closing.  Fun, I know.

December 6, 2015

Elder Maxwell, "Do not let your moods maul your faith. Do not allow the absence of social life and dates to color your attitude toward your rendezvous with the resurrection. Do not let a bad day cause you to think that life is bad. Do not let low self-esteem discount your high blessings. In short, do not homogenize your hopes by mixing and treating them as if all hopes and aspirations are equal. They are not. The hope for a resurrection is guaranteed unconditionally by the atonement of the Savior. The hope for a good grade on an exam is quite obviously a hope of a different order; it is of much less significance and it is by no means guaranteed."

December 5, 2015

The girls and I played two close Pictionary Jr. games.  Fun, I know.  Sadie is a way good guesser.

Friday, December 4, 2015

December 4, 2015

Mason's grades are not expert, but at least he rocks at expert on Rock Band guitar.

Thursday, December 3, 2015

December 3, 2015

I got to go shopping with two of my friends.  Fun, I know.  It's always nice to chat with Kelly King and Kacee Bartholomew.  And it's nice to have friends.

November 30, 2015

Cool scripture reading day.  I finished reading the Book of Mormon (it took me 11 months) and as a family we finished reading the New Testament (it took us 3 years).

Sunday, November 29, 2015

November 29, 2015

The girls are awesome.  Way fun to watch them set up the tree and put up the Cmas decorations.  Cam made a great NOEL banner that looks great next to the tree.

November 27, 2015

Good day with Mason.  Bright and early soccer game gave me quality time to hang out with him.  Also - playing ping pong with him was awesome.

I love that my dad plays along to my silly antics.

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

November 25, 2015

Lots of playing with the Kynastons crammed into today - bowling, a movie, and a sleepover for some.  Fun, I know.

Monday, November 23, 2015

November 23, 2015

Good stuff today -
1.  Seeing a woodpecker on our hike minutes after saying I would like to see a cool bird.
2.  Seeing big horn sheep on the way out of AF canyon.  I've always wanted to see some up there and really didn't believe they were there until now.
3.  Putting together a little package for K and T with Elf and recipe and stuff for caramel popcorn.
4.  The day wrapped up with the kids and me dancing in the car to "your lips are moving" and Mason pointing out the deer to stop for on the side of the road who looked both ways before crossing the street after we stopped.

Sunday, November 22, 2015

November 22, 2015

What a fabulous Sunday.  It was D's bday, Kenz and Tanner came down, we all enjoyed sacrament meeting together, we played games and watched a movie, and we ate yummy food in South Jordan.

Tuesday, November 17, 2015

November 17, 2015

Ry had a choir concert tonight.  I quite enjoyed it.  When I mentioned to her that I quite enjoyed it she informed me she didn't really because she doesn't like singing.  That happens.

Sunday, November 15, 2015

November 15, 2015

Primary program is the best.  Cam's testimony was awesome - very sincere.  And I love Primary songs.  We followed up with tithing settlement in the evening.  What a good Sunday feeling the Spirit.

Saturday, November 14, 2015

November 14, 2015

Why does cabin time have to go so quickly when we wait all year for it?  How I love being with Tara, Pats, and Mary.  Seriously, those girls are my forever friends.  I love that I am still making memories with them 22 years after our awesome Snow memories.

Thursday, November 12, 2015

November 12, 2015

Spontaneous day off for D meant an awesome afternoon for me.  We drove up to the Uintas and snow hiked Bald Mountain.  We didn't make it all the way to the top but made it far enough to see some amazing views.  D is the best trailblazer.  It was so pretty in the Uintas and it looked like Christmas.  Fun, I know.

Sunday, November 8, 2015

November 8, 2015

Awesome Sunday evening at the Murphys.  It was just like old times.  Best part - Kenzie and Tanner met us there.  Two funnies from the night - "Yea, they're all stars."  And, "Zimbabwe is a country you know."

Friday, November 6, 2015

November 6, 2015

I keep thinking about how fun it was for me to go the the BYU volleyball game last night.  The rest of the gang seemed OK about it too.  I do like volleyball.

Thursday, November 5, 2015

November 5, 2015

I really needed this listen this morning - Marvin J Ashton, BYU Speech, November 1992.

I'm surprised at how I don't mind running in the cold weather.  Especially when I listen to talks that felt like they were directed to me and when I see the mountains surrounded by clouds.

Wednesday, November 4, 2015

November 4, 2015

My AF softball black pants are the most comfy pants ever.  How I love wearing them.

Monday, November 2, 2015

November 2, 2015

Went hiking this morning on the school house springs trail above Alpine.  We visited the first hamongog.  What a cool word - Hamongog.  Awesome first time visit for me.  It's so cool going somewhere for the first time.  Looking out over the valley looked like a painting with yellow trees dotting the landscape.  Also the clouds were cool and the sky was blue for a great autumn hiking day.  As I was noticing the clouds, a leaf floated down.  Sigh.

Sunday, November 1, 2015

November 1, 2015

Had such a good feeling walking with the girls to church this morning.

Saturday, October 31, 2015

October 31, 2015

I kinda like Halloweens like today.  Started off with a run, then Ry's soccer practice where I got to play with them.  Then is was a baptism of one of my Activity Day girls.  After then it was Sadie's last soccer game followed by Cam's last soccer game (with awesome games and awesome teammates).  The it was baking sugar cookies thanks to Kacee bringing over pre-made dough for us.  A little pizza and trick or treating (or friend hanging out) for the kids while it was warm enough for me to sit outside and hand out candy most of the night.  Then it was some World Series to round out the night.

October 29, 2015

Said hi to the rock monster today.  It's always a good hike when visiting him.  Also not seeing any snakes or wild animals made it a good hike too.  And it being the day after hiking with Kelly and Kacee made it the second hike in a row.  Fun, I know.

Also two good quotes from a great talk - Ezra Taft Benson, April 1971 GC - Life is Eternal.  "Our affections are often too highly placed upon the paltry perishable objects.  Material treausre of earth are merely to provide us, as it were, room and board while we are here at school."  "No other single influence has had so great an impact on this earth as the life of Jesus the Christ.  We cannot conceive of our lives without his teachings.  Without Him we would be lost in a mirage of beliefs and worships, born in fear and darkness where the sensual and materialistic hold sway.  We are far short of the goal He set for us, but we must never lost sight of it; nor must we forget that our great climb toward the light, toward perfection, would not be possible except for His teachings, His life, His death, and His resurrection."

October 27, 2015

Us girls rocked the pumpkin carving last night.  The kids found easy pumpkin stencils, we had chosen not huge pumpkins, and we carved and cleaned up in an hour.  Fun, I know.  And they may be our best pumpkins yet.

Monday, October 26, 2015

October 26, 2015

I keep thinking of the talk I listened to last week - BYU Speech by Elder Perkins, "Nevertheless I Went Forth".  He said, "Perfection is not a prerequisite to personal revelation.  The prerequisite is daily repentance."  This morning I listened to a powerful testimony by Elder Oaks in October 1987 GC.

Also, in my Book of Mormon reading I'm in Mormon and this time through reading, I am so in awe of Mormon and the way he handled such destruction and wicked people all around him.

Added my new favorite song to my iTunes collection.  I Love This Life by Locash.

Monday, October 19, 2015

October 19, 2015

I love listening to rain.  Also love Emperor's New Groove.  I like seeing little things of beauty in nature on a run.  Also like taking pictures.

October 18, 2015

Happy Rylie's bday!  Love that girl and would be lost without her.  Sunday bdays are not the best but she made the best of it.  A late night last night and then today included dinner of potato soup, a movie, a puzzle, eating some treats, and playing a game.  (It was a great round of Apples to Apples Disney with Ry, me, Darren, Mason, Camrie, Sadie, Kenzie, Tanner, and Clayton and Sandee.)

Saturday, October 17, 2015

October 17, 2015

A hike with my favorite guy (D) and a softball game with my favorite coach (and good friend) Lynette makes for a pretty great day!

On the hike we saw a moose, yellow leaves, granite rocks, pine, and it was quite at the lake.  What a great hike.

October 15, 2015

Went to Lagoon.  Good day with way too many other people.  My random thoughts from the day:

Air race was the start of a Lagoon headache.  :)
Space scramblers may have a short line but it is a slow line.
Bat ride lasts 1 minute and 3 seconds.
Sadie might cry the first time you force her on Bombora but then she'll go again right after.
Dinosaur drop just doesn't get old.  Even if you're 42.
Don't ride in seat 1 on Music Express of you can't open and close the bar and the guy has to come help.
If Sadie tells you she likes Lagoon, she really doesn't.  However, she is awesome at hanging out and waiting, even if she doesn't like any of the rides.
Highlight was all of us (D, R, C, S, and me) riding the log ride.

October 9, 2015

The most fantastic day - the entire day!  The temple was awesome and beautiful and the feeling in the sealing room was fantastic.  The stained glass flowers and the flower pattern on the floor was so pretty.  Hanging with Kenz while she gets ready and is just smiling.  The look of Tanner and Kenz together was so happy.

The reception was so much fun!  I did not want it to end.  I could stayed another two hours.  I got to see my aunt April!  That was a tender mercy.  I had hoped, really hoped she would come.  At the end I got to hang out with T, Pats, Steph, and Jenn for a bit.  I sure like those friends of mine.

Tami was amazing and the waffle bar food was fantastic.  Like delicious fantastic.  (And kind of famous now.) Kelly and Kacee were beyond wonderful.  I didn't have to worry about a thing.  My text to the three of them, "My dear, dear friends.  I wish I could share the awesome feeling I had all day thanks to you guys.  It was the most wonderful time because of you guys taking my stress and owrry.  I am beyond blessed to have friends like you and hope to be able to somehow show you a portion of the kindness you have shown me through this adventure."  They made it so I could just soak it all in and have such a fantastic day.

And the weather!  Another fantastic part.  Mid 70s and just wonderful.  The Heaps' backyard was so great - the most wonderful place for a reception.  It was beautiful and the mountains were so pretty in the background.

Also, don't forget the cute little temple lady that talked about the glow over Tanner and Kenzie and then told Kenzie how awesome and simple she is and how she wishes every bride that comes in could have the feeling she felt coming from Kenz.  She also mentioned how confident in herself Kenz was and how she loved Kenzie's glow. Such a sweet lady.

Today I have just tried to stay sane and not totally freak out about a wedding happening tomorrow.

October 7, 2015

Camrie was the happiest birthday girl.  She had  smile on her face the entire day.  Lucky me got to take her to lunch at her favorite spot - Spaghetti Factory.  Then we came home to an empty house and watched Cinderella that she got for her birthday.  It was an awesome time spent with an awesome girl.  Last minute decision to take her and some friends to Uswirl was a fabulous decision.  Her friends were able to hang out with her while I went to Mason's soccer game.  (Cam didn't mind my leaving at all - allows her and her friends to have free reign.  :))  He played some wing defense the second half (after playing his usual center defense the first half) and I had a great time watching him in that position.  It's been awhile since he's played that and it was fun to watch.  Too bad the kid won't talk about the game at all after  it's over.  Maybe it's my over analyzing.  That happens.

October 2, 2015

If the Logan temple walls could talk.

Fabulous evening in the temple for Kenzie's first time.  I'm thankful for the nice temple workers and for an assistant to the Matron who gave great advice.  I kept thinking about how many people have added drops to Kenzie's gospel bucket over the years to help point her to the temple.  Kinda cool to think of the Primary leaders and YW leaders and Seminary teachers and friends and greinds' moms and coaches.  If only they could know what part they have played.

September 28, 2015

Some soccer fields are better than others.  Tonight's was nice with green grass and mountains as a background.  Murray Park brought back some XC memories.  Kenzie ran hard there and Mason played hard there.  In and Out Burger always cheers Mason up.  Good evening with that boy despite a lame game.

Sunday, September 27, 2015

September 27, 2015

Watching the lunar eclipse (AKA blood moon) with the kids was totally cool.

D showed me a good talk - Neal A Maxwell, April 1978 GC, "The Women of God".

Saturday, September 26, 2015

September 26, 2015

Sadie was the cutest and hardest working soccer girl today.  She was so fun to watch as she played so hard and took on girls twice her size and didn't back down.  She was  a defending machine.  Cute #2.

Also - President Uchtdorf's parable of Great Aunt Rose was fantastic during the Women's Meeting of GC.

Also - Mason cleans up nice.  He looked very handsome for homecoming.  Very handsome indeed.  I like the gray Nike shoes with his suit - nice touch.

Friday, September 25, 2015

September 25, 2015

D and I wandered around Brighton and Solitude taking in the amazing yellow.  We hiked to Twin Lakes and Lake Solitude.  Fun, I know.  We saw 5 deer (one that hung out right by us at Lake Solitude), a pika (way cool) and a moose (driving down the canyon).  My favorite part was the pika and the spot where D blew my mind and found a shortcut to Solitude where we found the most amazing scene with gorgeous yellow aspens and pines with yellow aspen leaves intermixed with the green and a path that lead right through it all and I glimpse of the blue, blue sky.  It was magical.

Wednesday, September 23, 2015

September 23, 2015

Good hike today up Battlecreek with Lorien and Sariah.  It's so nice to have ladies to hike with.  We hiked up 3.3 miles to the sign.  Funny the destinations we make for ourselves.  Almost 2 hours hiking up and 1.5 hours hiking down.  We saw some pretty red trees.  I love the echo up top.

Tuesday, September 22, 2015

September 22, 2015

Elder Scott passed away today.  I loved reading his talks.  He was an amazing disciple.  "Your joy in life depends upon your trust in Heavenly Father and His holy Son, your conviction that their plan of happiness truly can bring you joy.  Pondering their doctrine will let you enjoy the beauties of this earth and enrich your relationships with other."

Monday, September 21, 2015

September 21, 2015

Took the 3 girls to "Once I was a Beehive" movie tonight and we loved it.  Way fun movie.

Also took the hiking ladies on a walk along a dirt path for a minute to Buffalo Peak.  It's a hard to call it a hike at only just over a mile RT but we went for the color and to take some pictures.

Sunday, September 20, 2015

September 20, 2015

Read a good talk by President Benson title, "Beward of Pride".  Good talk and it reminded me of another talk I listened to by him that I liked even more titled, "Cleansing the Inner Vessel."  "To the proud, the applause of the world rings in their ears; to the humble, the applause of heaven warms their hearts."

Saturday, September 19, 2015

September 19, 2015

I'm already tired of soccer Saturday and just want to go hiking on September Saturday's.  That happens.  Crappy refs happened today at Mason's game.  Sometimes that really gets me going.  I mean I'm quite tolerant of somewhat bad reffing but the guy was way bad.  Ugh.

(This picture was typical of the reffing - it's his, "he's so offside" gesture.)

Thursday, September 17, 2015

September 17, 2015

Such a beautiful fall day.  The air is cool, the sun is in and out of the clouds, and it's just awesome.  A few worms even came to say hi.  And it was such a beautiful fall night.  A fantastic night to take in a BYU soccer game - especially on the 2nd row center field.

Also, Darren likes to eat his shakes and Frostys through a straw.

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

September 15, 2015

If you want to feel good, have your friend throw your daughter a shower and just let people come and hang out and talk to lots of people you know.  It's also fun.

Sunday, September 13, 2015

September 13, 2015

I love that I can walk to church.  Even when meetings are at the Stake Center I can walk.  And I love walking to church.  Also, I love when I get to play with Mason.  Playing see how many times we can keep the little ball in the air with the tramp frisbee things was way fun.

Friday, September 11, 2015

September 11, 2015

I love seeing all the flags around.  Also, I love fresh peaches.  Also, I liked this quote from my run listen this morning, "The Prophet Joseph Smith taught, 'Friendship is one of hte grand fundamental principles of 'Mormonism''".  Also, "Ironically, you'll find that as you care less about what others think of you, you will care more about what others think of themselves."  (From Neal Cox, BYU Speech, October 2014.)

Wednesday, September 9, 2015

September 9, 2015

Back to Logan.  This time for Mason's soccer game.  It's a good thing I got to see Kenz and a good thing I'm OK with mini road trips and a good thing I got to hang out with Mase.  (And a good thing they won.)  Otherwise it would have been lame to drive 4 hours for a soccer game on a weekday.

Monday, September 7, 2015

September 7, 2015

Just a good couple of hours spend at Bear Lake.  It was so cold and windy for 90% of the time but it was still just good.  Seeing Cam finally get to a beach with water was worth it.  She was the only one strong enough to brave the freezing water.  We played Bocce, kicked the soccer ball around, threw the fox tail, found sea shells, built a sand castle, played water baseball, sat on the sand, and just enjoyed the warm feeling inside from being all together.  Good couple of hours.  We need to try it again when it's a little warmer.  But still a really good couple of hours.

Saturday, September 5, 2015

September 5, 2015

Good hike to Cuberant Lakes in the Uintas with D.  A little rain, a bit of hail, some sun, a few lakes, and lots of wind.  Phrase of the day from D, "Sippy bag."  Translated - hydration pack.  :)  I liked the green, the pine smell, and the trail covered in pine needles.

Wednesday, September 2, 2015

September 2, 2015

We watched some old home movie clips of when Cam was about 4.  She was so funny and we laughed and laughed.

Tuesday, September 1, 2015

September 1, 2015

Good Stake Standards night tonight.  Rylie rocked being on the youth panel.  "Keeping standards brings libery, confidence, and happiness."  I have my own path.  I do not need to hike someone else's trail.

Sunday, August 30, 2015

August 30, 2015

It was a good Sunday after church coloring with the girls and throwing the football with Mason.

Saturday, August 29, 2015

August 29, 2015

I like road trips.  Give me D, the Prius, and some Tim McGraw/Lady A, and I don't care if the road trip is to Rigby or Preston Idaho.

Thursday, August 27, 2015

August 27, 2015

Another awesome hummingbird encounter as I was sitting outside relaxing.  Also, I decided that someday I want to have a mug collection.  I'll be the crazy old lady with all the different cups.

Wednesday, August 26, 2015

August 26, 2015

I got to hike in the rain and I really like hiking in the rain - the sprinkle rain, not the downpour rain.

Tuesday, August 25, 2015

August 25, 2015

My Junior boy just looked especially put together as he walked out the door to school.  He's growing up and will grow out of this house soon.  I guess that's what's supposed to happen.  Sigh.

Thursday, August 20, 2015

August 20, 2015

Went to lunch with my friends.  Many years ago Tami Madsen, Kelly King, Emily Peery and I served in the Primary presidency together.  The friendship we made has stayed and can be picked up wherever we left off - be in weeks, months, or years ago.  I am so thankful for those ladies.  Really, really thankful.  I'm reminded of a quote from Sister Burton, "Sisters, we need each other!  As covenant-keeping women and men, we need to lift each other and help each other become the people the Lord would have us become."

Tuesday, August 18, 2015

August 18, 2015

And just like that - summer is over.  Ry went to seventh grade day today and the rest start school tomorrow.  Ry was looking good and feeling great as a seventh grader.  Love that kind and cute girl.

Friday, August 14, 2015

August 14, 2015

Yosemite was fantastic!  Amazing views all around.  Too many people, but the scenery made up for that.  Survived the brutal physical and and emotional Half Dome hike.  Cool, but not sure I want to do that again.

Must see in Yosemite:
Tenaya Lake
Olmstead Point - take the little walk out away from the crowd
Sentinel Dome
Glacier Point
Vernal Falls

(So many great pictures to choose from but I loved how you could see Half Dome and the waterfalls in this one.)

Made it to the Uintas.  (Me, R, C, S.)  That place is a little slice of mountain wonder.  The sky is a little bluer in the Uintas.  We met up with some Murphys and hike to Ruth Lake.  I love that hike.  The flowers were cool, the lake was beautiful, and the surroundings were amazing.  The kids got in the lake and I played baseball with Carson, a stick, and a ginormous mushroom.  Great hike.  Sigh.

Played what may be my new favorite game tonight.  D, Sade and I were driving and we played whistling name that tune.  I won a round and Sade won a round.  Fun, I know.  As a bonus we were driving to the Columbia outlet store where I found some hiking shorts.  I love that store.

21 years of #awesome!  Love that guy of mine.  Good anni celebration with a hike AND a movie.  Dog Lake and Mission Impossible were both great - even when a crazy wind blew over the lake.

Awesome bike ride for FHE.  We hit the Murdock trail. I laughed at Mason playing around on Sadie's little bike.  We met Turbo (the snail) on the way home.  "Turbotastic!" (Even though that has nothing to do with a snail.  :))

I like zip lines.  I also like views of mountains.  We rode razors above Heber with D's bishopric and their wives to an awesome view spot.  We could see Timp and mountains all the way around to the Uintas.  Fun, I know.

I miss Kenz and it was worth the 4 hours of driving to hang out with her for four hours.  Also, Mason is awesome labor.  He babysits overnight and all you need to do is get him chocolate milk and cup o'soups.

Really good hike with D today.  One of us hiked ot the top of Box Elder Peak and one of us hiked almost to the top of Box Elder Peak.  (Peaks are overrated.)  The humming birds up there were so cool.  The flew right by me.  Fun, I know.  It was awesome to have over an hour of simple solitaire while I waited for D.  The meadow there was amazing.  The purple with the granite mountains in the background was breathtaking.

Bike rides to the library are a lot more fun on the way there.

YW was a good ride.  I will very much miss the weekly association with Emily Peery and Kacee Bartholomew, plus Gina Kynaston.  I wonder what's next.

Happy my dad's bday.  It was nice of him to let us hang out with him at the cabin on his bday.  Singing to him with a candle in a Twinkie was a bday treat.  He took me for a four wheeler ride and I will always remember sitting on the back just soaking in the time with my dad.  It was also nice to be on the back as Mason drove us down from the cabin to the trailer to load up.  The two rides were a bit different in speed.  :)

Capitol Reef always treats me good.  Especially when I take some friends.  Kacee and Kelly were kind enough to accompany me.  And when we take awesome fake photos of filling up water bottles.  :)
