Another Sunday afternoon trip to Richfield. My sister flew in so we spent the afternoon with her and my parents.

Such a good snow hike today for Baylie’s birthday. That dog loves hiking. D and I took her to the new winter meadow and did a 3 mile loop. I took a couple of pictures I like. Tonight there was some JCW’s for dinner and some Alone Season 2 watching for entertainment.

February 25, 2021

Saw a huge hawk at the pit as I was walking Baylie this morning. Pretty cool.  Later I called my dad and told him I’ve been singing “washing the dishes...” all week since our dishwasher has been out of commission. He laughed and laughed.

February 24, 2021

Had a great hike this morning. We went above Tibble Fork and found the winter meadow Darren told me about. It was a great 4 mile winter hike with some new scenery. I felt good hiking today. It’s been a struggle lately so it was nice to have it not be a struggle today.

I love Sadie's creativity.  She made a blanket in January and today she made a graphic piece of art.

Dog sitting Penny. It’s like having little kids at home again. They’re fighting over toys, bugging each other, asking for food, putting things in their mouth, climbing on furniture, but also entertaining themselves together.

Yesterday was quite the snow day. Finally a good storm. Baylie liked walking in it more than Sadie. :)

February 15, 2021

Kenz and Ry came with me to City Creek for some hiking shoe shopping. Good afternoon being with those two. Kenz needed food and then shared with me and Ry bought me a smoothie. Darren took Baylie snowshoeing on this president’s day. Cam played Minecraft and Sadie painted along to a Bob Ross video with her friend Libby.

February 13, 2021

A Richfield - Capitol Reef weekend. Despite the icky weather drive, Capitol reef was awesome. Overcast hiking to Hickman Bridge and then the overlook was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. We also hit Goosenecks and Sunset Point for some cool views. One of my favorite views this time was Pectol’s Pyramid with overcast clouds and the sun shining through just enough.  I love escapes with D.

February 11, 2021

Got to go snowshoeing at Spruces today. I love Spruces in the winter. It always seems to come through for some good snowshoeing. We did our regular right side loop and had some fun sledding and running downhill in the soft powder (my favorite). Only 2.5 miles but it’s always quite the workout.

We were able to get out yesterday as well for a two in a row snow hiking with sledding.

February 7, 2021

I like seeing birds of prey - especially in the winter. Today we saw 4 bald eagles while driving to see my parents. While visiting the girls got a kick out of my dad’s old yearbook.

February 6, 2021

Had a good time tonight at the Butterfly Biosphere.  Some held some butterflies and some freaked out at some butterflies. :). We also did a quick walk through of the Dinosaur Museum. Then on the drive home Darren played some Miley Cyrus - butterfly fly away. Ha ha.

Kenzie used to bring home donuts when she worked at the bakery.  Somehow Rylie brought home cookies working at Roxberry.

February 4, 2021

Just a good snowshoe today. I’ve been wanting to snowshoe to Tibble Meadow since Darren did recently and my friends were game. It was great. We were able to sled a bit and my new sled had its first run. Thank goodness Sariah found my phone that had fallen out of my pocket in a sled run. We had a bit of blue skies but mostly some snow flurries. It was a good get out. Made up for the poor conditions we had yesterday in our hike with blustery no views and huge mud/snow balls on our spikes. Although getting out is still better than not getting out.
