January 31, 2021

We had homemade ice cream at the Randalls.  Mmmmm.

Also, Sister Eubank is just awesome.

Also, Rylie likes doing puzzles. She does not like pausing while doing a puzzle.

Also, we made it through January.  Phew.

January 28, 2021

Took a quick trip to see my parents today. They’re hanging in there.

Before I left I took Baylie on a walk where the thought struck me - I live in a beautiful place.

January 27, 2021

Just what I needed on today’s snowshoe - to actually snowshoe, some soft deep powder, snow on trees, and having a little snow falling.  Sigh. I do love Granite Flat after a snowstorm.

Fun fact about me - if the gas gauge nears 1/4 of a tank, it gives me stress.

January 24, 2021

Took a photo today of Rylie on the couch that seems to be the definition of Sunday.

Also the Valentine unicorn Brynnlee sent me in the mail is so cute! She sent me a Christmas one as well and I am loving the holiday unicorns.

President Biden was sworn in as President of the United States this week.  Things went smoothly (phew) but the story around it all was Bernie Sanders in mittens keeping warm.  So many memes that have made me laugh all week.  Here's a few of my favorites:

January 21, 2021

I love that Sadie pointed out the cool sunrise to me this morning. Lots of pink.

It was hike day which is always nice. The hoar frost was pretty cool at the second meadow at pine hollow.

January 19, 2021

Got my parents settled back in Richfield after my dad's hospital stay in Iowa with my sister.  Good to have them home. I can't believe my sister got my dad on a plane.  :).

January 18, 2021

It’s been a rough 2021 so far but this weekend turned things around. Clayton and Sandee invited us to Beaver Dam. We went down Saturday and came back today and it was fantastic! D, K, T, M, C, S, and me.

We stopped at the Creamery in Beaver on the way down. Mmm. Mason said it’s the best ice cream he’s ever had. We chatted in Beaver Dam that evening.

Sunday was listening to church and then getting some fresh air and seeing some red rock. We went on the Vortex (or Vortec if you’re Clayton) trail. The boys went to the vortex and the girls hung out down below and enjoyed the sun. It was amazing weather. Back for a delicious Sunday dinner, games, and a puzzle.

Monday we headed home with a bit of a stop at Snow Canyon. We had such a good time playing at the sand dunes. Mason may have sprayed me with some sand. :) He also did a few cartwheels down the sand hill. We watched a beetle and drew in the sand and soaked in the sun. D and I took a stop at the petrified sand dunes where we found thousands of moqui marbles. Kinda cool. We had lunch at Larsen’s Drive Inn that was worth the wait. 60 degrees in January has never felt so good. Then back to the cold and Rylie and Baylie.

January 13, 2021

Finally got out on a hike. Went with Lorien and Sariah and Deb up AF Canyon. Nothing too pretty but chatting with my friends and breathing the fresh air was wonderful.

January 5, 2021

Sadie made me some nachos and they were delicious. Which is saying something since nothing has tasted good with Corona.
