So many great quotes from President Uchtdorf's talk yesterday at the general women's meeting.

Sitting inside in sweats on a rainy night watching The Voice with Kenzie home for the weekend tops off my good Saturday.

"Happiness consists not of having, but of being; not of possessing, but of enjoying.  It is a warm glow of the heart at peace with itself.  A martyr at the stake may have happiness that a king on his throne might envy.  Man is the creator of his own happiness.  It is the aroma of life, lived in harmony with high ideals.  For what a man has he may be dependent on others; what he is rests with him alone."  David O McKay

Cam was the soccer star tonight!  So fun.  Her team was down by two in the second half when she decided to take matters into her own hands.  She had a great shot off the post that just missed.  That must have made her more determined because she then scored two goals in about 4 minutes to tie the game.  Then she assisted to Mia who scored the go ahead goal.  All this in about 10 minutes.  Then about 5 minutes later the game ended.  Fun, I know.

Having chocolate milk and jalapeno Cheetos in the house makes Mason wonder if it's his birthday.  :)

I love Zion National Park!  All the driving was worth the hike in the narrows.  To top off the day was dinner at a burger joint in Cedar City.  Hermie's was pretty good.  I do love burger joints.

President Monson - Odgen temple rededication:  "Love the temple, appreciate the temple, attend the temple.  As we do those 3 we will have peace in our hearts and purpose in our lives and happiness in our homes."

Having an I miss Kenzie day today.  That happens.  It started with pictures coming up of her on the screensaver and it kept going after hearing Phillip Phillips and Blake Shelton.

Checking on Sadie after she falls asleep and seeing her hugging Chubs her stuffed animal hippos is just so cute and kidlike.

Cam smiles her entire soccer game.  I hope she never loses that enjoyment.

Loved playing backyard beach ball volleyball (or keep the beach ball off the ground) with the kids.  Snorta was fun with the girls as well.  Especially Cam's random noises when she got a match and couldn't remember the animal.  :)

"Forgiveness doesn't mean minimizing the sin; it means maximizing our faith in the Atonement."  Good listen on forgiveness from James R Rasband this morning.  (BYU Speech October 2012)

I still catch myself waiting for Kenzie to walk in the door after practice or work.  Miss that girl.

I thought I'd find Mason on  his bed playing his iPod.  Instead I found him on his bed reading scriptures.  I"m sure he pulled out his iPod not long after, but it was a cool mom moment.

Setpember 5, 2014

It's a 3 things day:

1.  I love when Mason plays with Sadie.  He is so good to her.
2.  I still feel like I am missing someone when I account for the kids - and I am.  I miss Kenz.
3.  I love how Rylie says "hi" on the phone.  She sounds so to talk to you - always.

"Where one door shuts, another opens.  We are not always wise enough nor experienced enough to judge adequately all of the possible entries and exits.  The mansion that God prepares for each of his beloved children may have only certain hallways and banisters, special carpets and curtains that he would have us pass on our way to possess it."  President Hunter, October 1987 GC

I love to see the temple.  Ogden open house had beautiful paintings.  And Scruds was a delicious eat and had plenty of food which was good since we were staaaarving.
