2 tender mercies not long apart helped my Friday go from crappy to good.  Also had a fabulous date night with D - Mama Chu's Mexican restaurant in Orem followed by the nature photography exhibit at the Bean Museum.  We decided they really need to ask our opinions before giving out awards because they were way wrong on quite a few.

I have never regretted checking a kid out of school to play so Sadie and I went to free zoo day.  Love hanging with that girl.  The animals were awesome today all active and stuff.

I watched The Voice tonight without Kenz.  Sigh.  I just talked to the TV.  D tried to humor me and did a good job making comments.  I ended up snapping Kenz most of the show.  Fun, I know.

Rylie finished up her indoor soccer session this morning.  She played awesome!  Such a great game on defense for her.  She worked so hard and it was fun to see her feel so good after the game because she worked so hard.

Spaghetti Factory tonight was a great way to spend a Saturday night.  I am liking when we have to wait to be seated.  Not for an hour like tonight, but some wait is good to give me the chance to hang with my kiddos more.

I sat on the heater today to warm up and it reminded me of when Kenz used to sit on the heater before school to get warm while eating breakfast in about 1st grade.  I asked her if she remembered and she said, "Yes - with Bid and Lad."  :)

Canyonlands is awesome!  Even when we hiked 10 miles to not see Druid arch.  .5 miles away and we are stopped by a huge pool of water and no ladder.  That happens.  I still loved the look of the needles and the fact that we saw only 5 people during those 10 miles.  And 5 other people the entire time we were there (and it was a National Park).

I taught Ry how to play speed.  I love that game.  I remember playing it with Kenz when she was 12.  It's fun having Ry to play with now.

D and Mason put up the bball hoop.  It was just as I had hoped - lots of bouncing and shooting going (and soccer kicking into) on out there.  The 60 degree unseasonable weather may have helped.  :)

Another good day.  Hiking in the morning, my parents visiting in the afternoon where we took the kids bowling, they took us to eat for dinner, then it was home to relax while Cam had a late night at Amy's, R and S watched a movie in her bed, and Mason played some street soccer in a tshirt (weird warm February weather).

Elementary SEPs are way fun when your kids are great students.  I have enjoyed all three teachers who very much enjoy my kids.  Mrs. Ahlstrom was especially impressed with Rylie's success in a very hard class.

Had a good FHE on baptism for Sadie tonight.  She's pretty cute and excited to be 8,  We read Mosiah 18 and talked about the story of Alma/Abinadi.
