This week's Saturday consisted of good soccer games for the girls and a safe Prom night for handsome dressed up Mason.

Sadie nailed her piano recital.  She was a cute, little, nervous piano player that did so well.  And now maybe we won't hear that song ten times a day.  :)

Also, Rylie ran hard during her 800M.  What more can you ask of your kid than working hard?

And a quote for the day from President Hunter, "Our focus should be on righteousness, not recognition; on service, not status."

While it may be a bit muddy hiking after a rain storm or two, it can be so pretty.  Everything was green and fresh.  The many little waterfalls up Ferguson Canyon were beautiful.

Always great to have my kids together.  Seeing them playing soccer in the rain while watching Rylie play soccer in the rain put a smile on my face.

Kenz is 20. Twen-ty.  Starts with a 2 and then a 0.  20!  Wow.  She's become a pretty amazing person in only 20 years.

After many times of trying to learn to swim (besides the back float), Sadie finally succeeded with her new swimming lessons.  It is a celebration.  Thank you Missy the swim teacher.

"Life is amazing and then it's awful and then it's amazing again and in between the amazing and the awful it's ordinary and mundane and routine.  Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary.  That's just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life and it's breathtakingly beautiful." - L.R. Knost

Let the games begin.  It's soccer Saturday for the next weeks.  Not all of them will be like today with 2 wins and a tie.  But not all will be cold and windy like today.

Elder Holland, "Christ has overcome the world - our world - and His gift to us is peace now and exaltation in the world to come.  Our fundamental requirement is to have faith in Him and follow Him - always.  When He bids us to walk in His way and by His light, it is because He has walked this way before us, and He has made it safe for our own travel here.  He knows where the sharp stones and stumbling blocks lie hidden and where thorns and thistles are the most severe.  He knows where the path is perilous, and He knows which way to go when the road forks and nightfall comes."

Ry started our spring soccer season tonight.  I sure like watching her play.  I sure miss watching Mason play.

I am thankful I can hike during the week.  Sometimes you hike with blue skies and sometimes you hike in clouds and rain.  Both are enjoyable.  Grandeur Peak was the cloud kind today.

Successful scripture reading when Sadie cries and complains that she never gets to read the section heading.

Listened to a good BYU Speech today by Bishop Davies from November 2015 -
"Our Heavenly Father doesn't need you to be mighty, intelligent, well dressed, well-spoken, or well inherited.  He needs you to incline your hearts to Him and seek to honor Him by serving HIm and reaching out in compassion to those around you."

Mason had his gang over tonight.  There's four in the gang - Mason, Tanner Beck, Jacob Gifford, and Clay Alger.  There were five until Muff moved.  That happens.

Happy my mom's birthday!  She wanted to just hang out all day and then go eat at the Chinese restaurant so that's what we did.

Found my new favorite hike in Snow Canyon - White Rocks Amphitheater.  Fantastic family hike with white rocks to scale and white sand to enjoy.

I like St. George.  We enjoyed a new spot today - Sand Hollow State Park where it was a fabulous day of sun and surf, pedal boating, and hammock.

That moment when you're looking at Instagram and something reminds you of a Megamind quote and 30 seconds later your oldest tags you in the same picture that made you think of that - with the same quote.
