From Mason's email:

Hey yall! It's been another good week! And the start of a new transfer! So first things first, Elder Cluff is a stud! I already love him and we're having a good time. He's also such a good teacher. He could school me in a Bible bash, that's for sure! Good thing we don't Bible bash right?

Bailey came to church again and we had an awesome lesson! In church they talked about the Plan of Salvation but went super deep and in depth and he had tons of questions and was really confused. So after church we had a lesson with him and went over the plan of salvation. We were able to answer his questions and after we finished he said "I don't see why I would want to turn back now, I wanna keep moving forward and eventually be baptized." So that was a huge miracle and we're really excited for him!

From Mason's email:

So if I could describe this week in 3 words it would be temple open house. That made up most of our week. 😂 Which is good because it's a one time thing, and we were able to get a lot of people through it, and it's the temple so it's awesome. It just took up a lot of time for us, so not very many cool finding stories or anything, just cool temple stories. The temple is amazing and beautiful and we went on many tours, and every time I was in there, I felt the spirit. It's so amazing.

He also told us how they ended up taking a protestor that was at the temple out to lunch and had a good conversation with him and also got him away from protesting the open house.  :)

From Mason's email:

Aaaand another miracle (This might be a long story so bear with me). We were on exchanges and I was with Elder Ridgwell. We had a lesson that fell through and knocked on someone's door that we're teaching, but they weren't home. Then we saw a family across the street and went up to them and talked with them. It was a fairly normal contact, they were nice, and we set a return appointment the next day and walked away. Then the dad starts running up to us and thanks us over and over for stopping by. He says it's an answer to his prayers because his daughters are really struggling with life and he doesn't know how to help them. We asked if he felt his prayers were being answered and he said no so we left him with a cliffhanger that when we come back tomorrow, we will teach him a way to pray that he will get answers. He was really excited. So the next day rolls around and I'm with Elder Nelson and we stop by to teach them. He opens the door before we even get there and his whole family is in chairs waiting for us. The only way I can describe it is reverently waiting to be taught. So we start with a prayer and teach a little bit about the Plan of Salvation and how God loves them because the daughters are struggling with self worth. We then taught about prayer and how to pray (a lot of people in the south pray to Jesus instead of Heavenly father). Then we knelt with all of them and the dad (his name is Morris) said the prayer. When we ended he juts kept saying he felt it and the family all hugged and everyone was happy (because the spirit was there). It was such an amazing experience and we're going back tomorrow to introduce the Book of Mormon to them.

From Mason's email:

I wanna share about a man named Ed. It's a part member family who we tracted into (her records haven't been moved over here yet). We have been teaching them and he's been really interested, because of the fruits he's seen from our church. He said he needed his lawn mowed so we said, if we mow his lawn, will he come to Priesthood Session of General Conference with us in a members home. He agreed so we borrowed a lawn mower and mowed his lawn and he came with us to Priesthood Session and absolutely loved it!

A funny thing that happened is we went on exchanges with the Spanish elders and we were in the middle of Memphis and there was a big fat pig! Like, a live, real pig. So that was pretty funny to see.

From Mason's email:

This one day in exchanges, we were walking down the street and saw a guy washing his car. We came over and talked to him and he was really friendly. We shared about the Book of Mormon and who we were and he said missionaries stopped by a while ago and then just never came back. He was kind of skeptical because he was a victim of credit card fraud not too long ago but he was excited to learn more, and it was just a tender mercy to run into him. Crazy how some people are actually interested, but don't know how to get back in contact with missionaries.
