January 18, 2021

It’s been a rough 2021 so far but this weekend turned things around. Clayton and Sandee invited us to Beaver Dam. We went down Saturday and came back today and it was fantastic! D, K, T, M, C, S, and me.

We stopped at the Creamery in Beaver on the way down. Mmm. Mason said it’s the best ice cream he’s ever had. We chatted in Beaver Dam that evening.

Sunday was listening to church and then getting some fresh air and seeing some red rock. We went on the Vortex (or Vortec if you’re Clayton) trail. The boys went to the vortex and the girls hung out down below and enjoyed the sun. It was amazing weather. Back for a delicious Sunday dinner, games, and a puzzle.

Monday we headed home with a bit of a stop at Snow Canyon. We had such a good time playing at the sand dunes. Mason may have sprayed me with some sand. :) He also did a few cartwheels down the sand hill. We watched a beetle and drew in the sand and soaked in the sun. D and I took a stop at the petrified sand dunes where we found thousands of moqui marbles. Kinda cool. We had lunch at Larsen’s Drive Inn that was worth the wait. 60 degrees in January has never felt so good. Then back to the cold and Rylie and Baylie.
