Cross country awards.  These 3 are awesome runners and friends.  The MVP of the season is the cute girl in the middle - the one with her tongue out.  :)  You betcha MVP - she rocks!

Nothing says high school like making shirts for a girls choice dance.
Kenz and Jac getting ready for Sadie Hawkins on Friday.  Fun, I know.

One of the best parts of the cabin - the midnight walk.

Picture taken about 12:30am.
(After a game, a movie, dinner, treats, and lots of chatting, plus a nap by the tall one.  :)
I do so love these ladies.

For Rylie's birthday celebration she took some friends and a sister to the BYU Women's Soccer game.
Way fun and a fabulous way to celebrate turning 10.

The boys had SO much fun mountain biking.  I think the mud made it even better.

The only thing good about having a test - studying for it with friends.  Although I'm not sure how much studying actually gets done.

Min taught Kenz to play the guitar.  Fun, I know.
They performed some songs before Min moved to New Mexico.  I'm going to miss that girl.  What a fabulous friend she is.

"All of us will be tested. And all of us need true friends to love us, to listen to us, to show us the way, and to testify of truth to us so that we may retain the companionship of the Holy Ghost. You must be such a true friend." ~Henry B. Eyring

I am so thankful Kenz has such great friends.

Hey girls - how does it feel to have the AP test over with?

Oddly enough I feel the same way.  Crazy how kid stress can also be parent stress.

Finally - we got to hang out with all the Murphys.
As the kids are getting older and busier it is harder to make schedules work.  I realized tonite that I need to make a better effort at rearranging schedules to accommodate the Murphys and to never, ever hold the queen.  :)

Good evening with friends!

This scenario (and others like it) may have contributed to a part of why we are still in our "starter" home.
Mason and Clay kicking the ball back and forth across the street.  Amazingly Clay made a basket yesterday.

How can it not be a good birthday when you get to hang out with your good friends?

It's time to start getting over feeling so old now that I have a 16 year old.  Let's face it, I don't just feel old, I am old.  That happens.

We made it to the highly anticipated movie, "The Hunger Games".  It was me, D, Kenz, Mase, and we brought Clay.

It was FANTASTIC!  My only complaint is the shaky filming the first half hour but even that can't deter my enjoyment of this movie.

I'm a little ashamed of the picture above but it does depict the movie.  That happens.

I want to tell you about the unseen power of the Aaronic Priesthood. A boy of twelve is old enough to learn about it. As you mature you should become very familiar with this guiding, protecting power.
Although you cannot see the power of the priesthood, you can feel it, and you can see the results of it. The priesthood can be a guiding and protecting power in your life. Let me give you an example. ("The Aronic Priesthood" - Ensign, November 1981 - Elder Boyd K. Packer)
It warms my heart to see these boys be obedient and perform their Priesthood duties.

Fabulous evening!  Kenz and I went to the YW broadcast with Sandee.  After the broadcast we hooked up with Jill and Jac for some yummy U-Swirl.  (After we scarfed down our Costa Vida.)

Good friends are good to have and these are good boys.

I guess you could call this the half time show of their soccer game in Whatcott's backyard.

(Starting from the bottom left - Chris Whatcott, Matthew Huff, Ben King, Clay Alger, Ben Whatcott, and Mason.)

4-square girls.

These 2 good friends play quite often after school and quite often they play 4-square.
(Aspen Peterson)

(I have serious 4 square skills!)
