I always feel a little prettier when I'm in the temple and put on a white temple dress.

Drug the kids on a hike this afternoon.  It ended up being fantastic after the crying, whining, and complaining settle down.  (Which only took about 2 hours since it started before the drive and ended about 1/2 mile in.) Willow Heights treated us well.  Highlights include feeding the ducks, feeding the ground squirrels (skinny and fat), and walking through head high foliage.

I love when I come across talks that stay with me.  Howard W Hunter's talk from April 1989 GC "The God That Doest Wonders" has been that talk.  "It is most remarkable to witness one who is deaf made to hear again.  But surely that great blessing is no more startling than the wondrous combination of bones and skin and nerves that lets our ears receive the beautiful world of sound.  Should we not stand in awe of the blessing of hearing and give glory to God for that miracle, even as we do when hearing is restored after it has been lost?"

Such a sweet hiking day!  D and I hiked Sunset Peak AND Cecret Lake.  Flowers were awesome, views were awesome, D is awesome.  (Swimming in the lake right by the sign that says no swimming is not awesome.  And no, they're not just wading.  :))

Happy bday Mason.  16.  CRAZY!  For his birthday we mostly just got out of the way and let him hang out like he wanted.  That included futsal at the church and a movie in the basement with some Fifa in between.

Also, I love when Kenz comes down.  She is so great to take the girls and do things.  There was tie dye and froyo.  Fun, I know.

Good day spent at girls camp.  It's a good feeling watching one of your kids get involved and have fun.  Rylie acted like a seasoned camper despite this being her first girls camp.
