Enjoyable President’s Day weekend. Sunday evening with all of us. Somehow we still squish in this little house. Telestrations (popsicle/deodorant), Catchphrase, and 5 Crowns (I stink at that game). Also kids laughing and Sadie and Cam singing. Monday had lots of pickleball and some more games. I love pickleball and we had lots playing and cheering today.
Some good things for this - mostly cold but warmed up a bit at the end - week. Flowers and chocolate strawberries from Darren for us girls at home on Vday, Cam and Sadie hanging out after work, a good run after 2 icky runs, good hair day, chatting with Darren on a Saturday morning, Ry visit, impromptu Panda Express with D and the kids (TKRCCS), remembering our Vegas trip.
Awesome Vegas weekend with Darren. Death Valley exploring at the Dunes and Sat Flat - Valley of Fire small slot and dome hiking plus big horn sheep - Five Guys, Jason’s Deli and trunk lunch eating - laughing and laughing thanks to Nate Bargatze. The days had Tshirt weather which felt amazing.
Sometimes a good evening looks like reading a book with a little popcorn and a blanket.
What a wonderful Sabbath. Church with my family and a Sunday school lesson where I got to lead a discussion about Jesus from the scriptures. Then K and T came for dinner and games and M and R stopped by for a minute to chat. C and S were cracking me up singing Webkinz songs. Also, I love seeing Sadie's drawings and doodles.
Darren and I had a great dinner with the girls tonight. We found ourselves at Outback Steakhouse thanks to a gift card and the girls were funny and entertaining and awesome. And we don’t need to go back to Outback again unless we’re given another gift card.
Also - I ran 10 miles today. It felt like an accomplishment.
