I enjoy watching Ry play softball.  She seems to enjoy playing softball.  

Today she was awesome on defense playing a solid 1st base.  She besides catching everything thrown her way, she also fielded a ball cleanly and stepped on her base for an unassisted play.  U-3 - wahoo!  In this league, that's totally a big deal and getting to touch the ball is exciting.  :)

Kenzie retired from soccer this weekend.  Sigh.  

I will so miss seeing her run around the soccer field but am happy I could see her as many times as I did.

D and I took Sadie on a hike.  A short hike, but a hike nonetheless.  Although don't tell her it's a hike or she is not interested.

Dance Festival day.

This year's dance festival was great.  Cam danced to a Lion King song and Ry danced to a Tarzan song.  Both dances looked super fun.  Good work Sego Lily.

When I made a bet with Mason on May 14, 2011 that I would give him $100 if he went a year without carbonation I never thought he would accept.  Oh he accepted and I am $100 poorer.  That happens.

I can't think of a better thing to do on a Tuesday morning than go hiking with D. 

We hiked Horsetail Falls (trailhead in Alpine).  This hike had a waterfall, a view of the valley, a meadow, wildflowers, snow capped peaks, pines, a spring, and logs to cross streams over.  Fun, I know.

Finally - we got to hang out with all the Murphys.  

As the kids are getting older and busier it is harder to make schedules work.  I realized tonite that I need to make a better effort at rearranging schedules to accommodate the Murphys and to never, ever hold the queen.  :)

D's doctorate graduation was today in Logan.  That's right, I am married to a Dr.  (And I got no good pictures of the actual graduation so this picture will have to do.)

I'll be honest, it's a little intimidating that while he seems to be getting smarter I seem to be getting less smart.  Unless of course we are discussing Disney or calendar schedules - cause I am all over those 2 topics. 

I am way proud of D and glad we could go support him in walking the walk and in being there through the journey.  We have a pretty cool family (all the kids and both sets of parents) that all drove to Logan and sat through a lot of names being read until finally it was, "Darren Edgar Draper - Ed D." (or something like that).

I took Kenz to her game in Mapleton.  I had to miss Rylie's softball game (and first hit) but Kenz made it worth it by scoring.   (Not a great photo, but this left foot shot hit the back of the net.)

Rylie is braving softball.  She had her first game today.  

There is a lot to learn.

Only in rec softball can your team only get 1 hit and that one hit is to the pitcher and they still score 2 runs.  Thanks to some walks and an over throw to first base the Astros weren't shut out.  :)
