I am enjoying reading the New Testament, especially during December. (And I think the little NT books D got us are super cute.) I haven't read the NT much before, just verses here and there. In reading it I have been in awe at the many, many miracles. I mean I have heard them before but for some reason as I am reading them this time I am overcome with a humble sense of amazement.

I have watched a lot of animated movies. That and Seinfeld are where all my quotes come from. Like today I went on a small run (10 miles a week - don't think when I say 10 miles and you are a shoe guy that it is going to be followed by "a day" - it is "a week".) and I was listening to a talk by President Faust. He said, "greater good" and my thoughts immediately went to The Incredibles. "I'm the greatest good you're ever gonna get." :)

I love snowshoeing. It is seriously one of my favorite things. I don't understand why either. How fun it was to go again. Yes, me!

Sometimes I surprise myself at how good I am at things. For instance, today I didn't think I would trip over my own showshoes 3 or 4 times, but I did. I was way good at tripping myself.

In a total act of unprecedented kindness from a brother to a sister, Mason left his IPod here without a password so Kenz could play Skyburger. Sigh.

I like McDonald's chicken nuggest and fries. I don't like stuffy noses. Today I mostly like Sadie's excitement for movie night followed by sleeping in the basement. Fun, I know.

I find it interesting that 2 people in this house don't put the new roll of toilet paper on. They will get a new roll but just leave in by the toilet. Hmm. Maybe it's the pressure of putting on the new roll correctly - making sure the end comes down off the front, not out the back. And while we're talking about toilet paper, 3 squares is sufficient for the typical job.

Today is 12/12/12. I did nothing fun to celebrate. I guess I'm kind of like that sometimes. Sorry kids but like I often say - that happens.

I saw this post and it inspired me to make a list of my favorite talks. I have really enjoyed listening to talks while running these past 3 or 4 months. Here's some good ones to start with. Hopefully I can add a lot more as the years go by.
Elder Holland -The Laborers in the Vineyard (April Conference 2012)
Elder Wirthlin - One Step after Another (October Conference 2001)
President Uchtdorf - Forget Me Not (October Conference 2011)
Brad Wilcox - His Grace is Sufficient (BYU Speech July 2011)
Howard W Hunter - Fear Not Little Flock (BYU Speech March 1989)
Elder Holland - Israel, Israel, God Is Calling (CES Fireside 2012)
Elder Holland - An High Priest of Good Things to Come (October Conference 1999)
Still trying to figure out what post goes on what blog. It can be so tricky having 2 blogs. :) I think I'll post this one on both.

I love quotes. I call myself a quote girl. In preparing the YW lesson I made the girls a quote book filled with quotes about being a daughter of God. I may have gone a little overboard and used more than a few quotes. :) That happens.
Here are some gems:
Here are some gems:
Sister Dalton - Young women, look into the mirror of
eternity. See yourself as our Heavenly Father sees you. You are elect. You are
of noble birth. You were born to be a queen.
President Uchtdorf - Sisters, wherever you are, whatever
your circumstances may be, you are not forgotten. No matter how dark your days
may seem, no matter how insignificant you may feel, no matter how overshadowed
you think you may be, your Heavenly Father has not forgotten you. In fact, He
loves you with an infinite love.
Elder Wirthlin - We don’t have to be perfect today. We
don’t have to be better than someone else. All we have to do is to be the very
best we can.
President Hinckley - Of all the creatures of the Almighty
there is none more beautiful, none more inspiring than a lovely daughter of
God.

I love when I pull in the garage after being gone for a bit and one or two of the girls come open the door and wave with a smile on their face. It warms my heart every time.

I can't help but bust a move and try to sing along when I hear Vanilla Ice's - Ice Ice Baby.
Speaking of music, one man's white elephant gift is a teenager's treasure. D brought home Justin Bieber's Christmas CD that he "won" and Kenz was super giddy about it. Fun, I know.

I really, really like Target.
I went Cmas shopping tonite with R and S. Fun, I know.
I could wander that store for a long time. To top off the Target awesomeness, their bathroom smells good. Sniff...

So I'm done taking a picture a day. It was fun for awhile but now it seems like a chore and if something that is supposed to be fun feels like a chore then it is time to be done.
Now I am going to turn this little blog of mine into random thoughts for awhile. (With or without pictures, but most likely without.)
Fun, I know.

The best part of Kenzie's job is when she brings donuts home.
While D would like a fritter, the kids are happy with the square donuts. I prefer the maple bar. Mmm.

One of the best parts of the cabin - the midnight walk.
Picture taken about 12:30am.

The fruits from our labors last nite.

We went and took some photos of Cam in her baptism dress. We went to the Timpanogos temple.

With Mason finally finished with his season, the Draper fall soccer season is in the books. Phew.
