Definitely a hammock sort of day today. Also, I'm getting quite good at back yard sitting thanks to Corona.

Throwing pine cones in the creek up AF canyon and waiting for them
to float under the creek and come out the other side (with Sadie) was
just the most wonderful 15 minutes. She kept saying - this is fun. And I
totally agreed.
Finally got Rylie in a four
square game. (We has all 6 of us. It was awesome.) She’s got skills and
was pretty much the 5th grade champion. :)
Quote of the day from our 4 square adventure when Darren got on of the kids out in a competitive way, "Sometimes parents eat their young." Then when Rylie got Darren out, "Sometimes the young eats their parents." :)

Actual quarantine conversation.
Cam - did you guys hear Rylie farting last night. Literally like 50 times.
(Rylie starts laughing.)
Ry - do you want to hear some? I recorded them.
Scripture of the day - 2 Nephi 2:24
But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.
Went
on a social distance hike this morning with Lorien and Sariah. We hiked
up a road so we could keep distance. We saw lots of water coming from
the hanging rock place along Mill road. And there were flowers on the
green. They were pretty.

That time when I said - this evening rain feels like one of those times
when you look out the window and see a rainbow. And then we turned and
looked out the window and saw a rainbow.

Happy Kenzie’s birthday. We ended up having a little celebration with
them. Had 5 guys for dinner, played an epic family 4 square game, played
jokers and marbles, and had some deep conversation. Good times. 24 for
Kenz.

Such a fun time this evening. Four square game with D, Mason, Camrie and
Sadie. (I loved every minute of this.) And then we stopped by Kenz and
Tanner’s to decorate their door for Kenzie’s birthday tomorrow and drop
off a present. Good chat with them.
President Hinckley - April 1990 GC. "I am confident that a time will come for each of us when, whether because of sickness or infirmity, or poverty or distress, of oppressive measures against us by man or nature, we shall wish for mercy. And if, through our lives, we have granted mercy to others, we shall obtain it for ourselves."

Read such a good talk by Elder Maxwell from October 1976 GC -
“ Following celestial road signs while in telestial traffic jams is not easy.”
“ Following celestial road signs while in telestial traffic jams is not easy.”
“
In the economy of heaven, God does not send thunder if a still, small
voice is enough, or a prophet if a priest can do the job.“
“
We should, of course, learn from our mistakes, but without forever
studying the instant replays as if these were the game of life itself.”
“
We can add to each other’s storehouse of self-esteem by giving
deserved, specific commendation more often, remembering, too, that those
who are breathless from going the second mile need deserved praise just
as the fallen need to be lifted up.”
We took a photo to document this part of life in Corona. :). I tried to sum things up below:
Well, here we are - a month into shutdowns due to the Coronavirus. Kids
are doing school at home, Rylie is still working at Roxberry, Darren is
working from home, and I'm even working from home. We're keeping
mostly to ourselves with some neighbor chatting and such 6 feet apart.
For groceries I do Walmart online grocery pickup and then an early
morning run to our little Kohler's grocery store. When we eat out it's
drive through or pickup and eat at home.
What an interesting month. Kids are awesome at doing their schoolwork with Sadie having the most to do and probably being the most frustrated. Mason has been swamped with school and doesn't really like it. He says, "It's the bad part of college without any of the good part of college." Besides Sadie's frustration with school sometimes, I think she and Cam have embraced things a bit easier. Rylie misses the social aspect more than the others. As far as sacrifice goes, I think the biggest impact has been on Mason.
We see Kenz and Tanner a bit so that's nice. They're both working from home as well. Kenz initiated a scavenger hunt from each of our houses that was fun. But mostly we're just entertained by our screens. :). I've organized many a drawer and cupboard, and under sinks but that's about it. It's been a struggle for me to get motivated. But all is well here at 1863 N 900 E, Lehi, Utah.
