Good Saturday with fam. Played some games with M - R and K - T and I won at both SkyJo and 5 Crowns (odds of that are slim). Went on an awesome snow hike with Darren - I love Pine Hollow in the winter. Barnes and Noble trip with KCS. Dinner was Costa Vida (bonus seeing Sadie). Finished the day with a little movie watching with some Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

Mason sure loves playing games.  We played a new one tonight that we enjoyed - Trekking the National Parks.

First snow hike of the year. It was so nice getting out. I had forgotten how great it is to exercise in nature, breath fresh air, and enjoy the snow. I really like before work hikes as well. Then at work Hannah, Morgan and I didn’t even need to send out a memo to wear pink - we all just knew.

It just feels like a go visit my parents and then go hiking weekend. But it’s not. And that’s sad.

Sadie brought home some extra Pizza Hut bread sticks they had at work. Eating those took me back to high school. We used to go to Pizza Hut all the time and order just their bread sticks. Mmm. We also went to McDonald’s a lot. Robyn worked there so we would go say hi and get fries that we would dip in BBQ sauce. Good times around 1990 in Richfield.

 A few things this long weekend:

1. The girls love playing Among Us so much lately. Cam and Sadie are always calling Rylie to play with them. 

2. I love when Kenz and Tanner come for Sunday dinner. 

3. Cam made some amazing cookies. 

4. Kelly is such a great friend. 

5. Center Street Grill in Logan is a yummy place to eat. 

6. Visiting Ry and Cole in Logan was a fantastic way to spend a Civil Rights Day. 

7. Rylie was correct when she said you only need a few bites of ice cream. I had more than a few bites of coconut ice cream that was delicious to taste but not to digest.

As I was eating some fries tonight I remembered how my mom used to like the skinny well done fries. She’d just want a couple and that was it. I shared my fries with these two tonight.

Sometimes I get an urge to call my parents. Then there’s the reminder that’s not possible and the hurt starts all over again.

Spent a few days in Moab with the fam. Good times. The only downside was Rylie was home sick with Cole taking care of her. We definitely missed them. 

Some fun things we did - Moab Diner (though some of us regretted that choice after digesting a little). Hiking - Mesa Arch and Gooseberry Lookout (Canyonlands), Corona Arch (plus Pinto), and Fisher Towers. Cam and Sade pranking Kenz constantly. Movie watching (Maverick, School of Rock, Truman Show, Yesterday (and Jimmy Beast episode). Game playing (SkyJo, 5 Crowns, Hearts- I even shot the moon, and Carcassone). Playing Mario Kart, Among Us, and hide and seek. Good times. I love our family getaways.
