I love Sister Hinckley! “Just do what needs to be done.”
Kenz and I took a drive to Richfield to chat with my parents for a bit. Good visit and Kenz is a great co pilot. Then we came back for a Sunday evening here.

Fish update - after the goldfish didn’t survive, Rylie got two different fish that have lived over 72 hours so success.
Rylie has been wanting fish. She got the green light and went and bought 3 goldfish. One died last night while she was at work. Then after school she sent a text to our Draper Fam group. “We had another fish casualty in Rylie’s pet parenthood journey.” It’s not going quite as well as she had pictured in her mind. :)
Here's a photo from yesterday - before the fish adventure.
Such a good Sunday. It’s been awhile since we’ve had a Sunday with the Randalls. Love seeing them. And Baylie and Penny are totally friends now. We missed Mason. We had a very close game of Jokers and Marbles. And a walk. Classic Sunday.
Read/listened to two good talks/articles this week.
Back to school during Corona. Grades 12-10-8. Crazy.
The girls filled out a few lines of "Favorites" today.

Camrie:

Here's a picture of Mason that has nothing to do with this post.
Hammocks make me happy. Also pickle ball (today was with Mason and Camrie). Also Roxberry smoothie and
wheat rolls. Also my birthday sunglasses and my birthday Keen dressy
sandals. Also Ry sleeping in the hammock. (And Sadie until 2am). Also Nutella with bananas and strawberries. Also sitting outside. Also new socks.
My summer hiking has not included waterfalls - until today. Lorien and I hiked to Stewart Falls where we enjoyed the spray and putting our feet in the water until they hurt - which was about 7 seconds. We somehow had the waterfall to ourselves while we were there. When we headed back we passed about 30 people so great timing for us. Funny part was when Lorien needed to distract a guy from me going potty and she said randomly, “Where are you headed?” As he is almost to the end of the trail.
Had such a great time this evening seeing some of the Draper family. It has been so long since we’ve seen most of them. Torsells were there and I loved drawing with Brynnlee. Becca texted after we left that Brynn is excited for me to come back on Saturday. I do like being an aunt.
Sure do enjoy our little Come Follow Me home church. Good stuff today in Alma. I’ve been enjoying our Sunday evening game of Hearts the last few weeks.
Also - Mason took an awesome picture of Baylie today.
A little anniversary weekend adventure to add to the anniversary celebrating. D and I pulled the trailer up to the other side of the Uintas, along Hwy. pulled off on a dirt road on the Wild Creek Campground turnout. I made D take the first spot we found. (We discovered that if you keep going and then take a left on the dead end road, there’s possible sights if they’re not all taken by trailers (which a lot were.). We took a few pics of the sunset and sheep and enjoyed a cool night in the trailer.
Happy anniversary to me and D. 26 years. We had a small celebration that included finding a good burger joint. We ended up heading to Spanish Fork to Barry’s Parkview Drive Inn. We got us some burgers and fries and expensive tots and ate it at the city park across the street where we watched a little Kubb. I guess if we can’t watch baseball for our anniversary, we can watch a random family play Kubb. :). We chatted and then headed home to watch a little comedy - Jim Gaffigan on Amazon Prime. I enjoyed the low key celebration doing some things we both love burgers and comedy.
I feel accomplished after hiking to the top of Timp. Kinda cool that my softball friend from Snow (Patty) and my softball friend from BYU (Julie Hess) are now friends in the same ward and we were able to meet and hike Timp together. We each brought a daughter. (Rylie, Kaitlyn, Jennica). It was a beautiful hike that pushed my limits and tiredness. Flowers were spectacular and the goats were fun to watch. The guy (Jacob) that gave up his cold Coke to Julie at the summit was so nice as he heard us talking about wishing we had a cold drink at the top.
Good talks/Devotionals I’ve listened to this week:
