Mason played way super hard on Friday. That side of him doesn't always come out so it is fun to see when it does. I also really like his goofy side. That comes out a little more often. :)
It's a great time of year when we have peaches from our tree. There aren't very many but what is there is delicious. It doesn't get much better than picking a peach and enjoying it immediately. I do like room temperature fruit.
By now I am not surprised that what actually happens when we do something is not close to what I envisioned happening. I thought that we would ride up the canyon, singing along in the car, oohing and aahing at the fall colors. What really happened was that the kids kept saying, "can we go home now?" and barely looked out the window. Cam and Ry did manage to find a cool leaf that was green and red. Fun, I know.
The girls went to Jenn's bridal shower tonite. The best part was the ride home where we turned the music up and I listened to all my girls sing along, "Hey soul sister...". And then hearing Sadie whistle to Sugarland's Stuck Like Glue (one of my all time favorite songs) made me smile even bigger.
Cute soccer player. She plays soccer a lot like Kenz did when she was this age. Mason responded to that in a slightly disgusted voice, "Great. She'll give up soccer in a few years and like running like Kenz." Sadie smiled and said, "I like running." :)
I sort of missed this shot but I will take it anyway as this is Cam scoring their first goal of the season. Check out the cute girls celebrating behind her. This was such a fun game and Cam went on to score 2 more goals. Did someone say "hat trick"? :)
Such a cutie soccer player! Fantastic game playing mid, forward, and defense. She scored, and had 2 assists (one off a cross that hit the post) but my favorite was watching her play fantastic defense.
I am learning that you have to take a lot of sports pictures to get a good one. Out of all the pictures I took tonite this was the only really good one. But it is a good one so I'll take it.
(Are those soccer/running fingers that she has picked up from Kenz? :)
My idea of a good time is a hike. That is definitely not their idea of a good time. However they were great sports today and humored me. I think the only 1 mile round trip distance might have helped the humoring.
2 sports spectating nites in a row? It doesn't get much better than that. Tonite was a BYU Women's Soccer game. We got to the game a little early so we checked out a building that had tons of BYU sports memorabilia. Fun, I know. (Mason in front of some Jimmer stuff.)
